3 Doors Down

C’est au milieu des années 90 dans la petite ville d’Escatawpa, dans
le Mississippi que 3 Doors Down voit le jour. Le groupe est formé du
chanteur et batteur Brad Arnold, des guitaristes Matt Roberts et Chris
Henderson et du bassiste Todd Harrell.
Peu de temps après sa formation, le groupe s’établit comme l’une des
meilleures formations live de la région et lance un premier démo en
1997 qui s’envole aux mains d’un auditoire sans cesse grandissant.
C’est lors d’une apparition au célèbre CBGB de New York, en 1997, que
le groupe attire l’attention de le label Republic, filiale du géant
Universal.
Après avoir signé une entente avec Republic, le groupe entre en
studio pour travailler sur son premier album. Au cours des sessions
d’enregistrement, 3 Doors Down accueille le batteur Richard Liles qui
vient remplacer Brad Arnold qui peut désormais se concentrer sur le
chant à temps plein. Dès sa sortie, en 2000, « The Better Life »
entraîne des comparaisons avec Matchbox Twenty. Par contre, le disque
se déroule en deux temps. Si les trois premières pièces, les succès
« Kryptonite », « Loser » et « Duck And Run » flirtent avec le
post-grunge, le reste s’inscrit plutôt dans la lignée du rock mélodique
des années 70.
Peu importe, « The Better Life » devient l’un des succès surprises
de l’été 2000, se frayant un chemin dans le top 10 du Billboard, en
plus d’être certifié double platine grâce notamment au méga-hit
« Kryptonite » qui est l’une des chansons les plus diffusées à la radio
au cours de l’année et qui se classe dans le top 5 du Hot 100.
Décidant de battre le fer pendant qu’il est chaud, 3 Doors Down
revient en 2002 avec un second album. « Away From the Sun » amorce sa
carrière en force en se hissant au huitième rang du Billboard dès sa
première semaine. Le disque est certifié Or en un mois, grâce au titre
« When I’m Gone ».

trop forts les "3doors down" ce qui me plait c surtt la voix du chanteur , et puis concernant "here without you" c celle qui me touche le plus ses paroles me vont droit au coeur , j'aime bien aussi le rythme de " kryptonite" et "changes" , ainsi que les paroles de "landing in london" et "i feel you " enfin y en a plusieurs chansons superbes et qui me rappelent de trés bons souvenirs...

tt à fait admin t'as l'impression que c triste comme paroles mais ce qui est caché derirere a un effet magique, la condition pendant laquelle on entend la chanson pr la 1ere fois avec une belle emotion c celle ci qui reste gravée et qui nous revient à chaque fois qu'on entend cette chanson ..c le bonheur koi .;

who doesn't like this great "three doors down" ...they have a very beauty songs ,and of course a damn touching lyrics..my favorites are "im here without u" and"when im gone"
