Disturbed est un groupe de nu metal, fondé en 1996 par les musiciens Dan Donegan, Steve "Fuzz" Kmak, Mike Wengren et David Draiman.
La chanson Down With The Sickness apparaît dans le film The One de James Wong, le film La Reine des damnés de Michael Rymer ainsi que dans le film L'Armée des morts de Zack Snyder. Elle sert aussi de musique d'ambiance lors d'un épisode de la série d'animation South Park ("Avec nos excuses à Jesse Jackson", entre la 18ème et la 19ème minute, lors du combat opposant Cartman et le Dr. David Nelson)
La chanson Prayer apparaît dans le film La Maison de cire de Jaume Serra.
La chanson This Moment apparaît dans le film Transformers de Michael Bay.
